Reusable 3D-printed PETG template for accurately marking matching exhaust bends when fabricating a Y-pipe. Select the Pipe Outside Diameter (OD) and Bend Centreline Radius (CLR), or enter custom dimensions. One physical template is supplied; pipe bends and the finished Y-pipe are not included.

Y-Pipe Cutting Template for Exhaust Fabrication

This reusable cutting and marking template is designed for preparing matching pipe bends when fabricating a custom exhaust Y-pipe. It provides a clear and repeatable cutting line, helping reduce guesswork, incorrect cuts, excessive grinding and wasted material before fitting and welding the bends together.

Each template is 3D printed from PETG and manufactured specifically for the selected Pipe Outside Diameter (OD) and Bend Centreline Radius (CLR). The dimensions of the template must match the dimensions of the pipe bend to produce the correct cutting line.

Selecting the Correct Configuration

First select the outside diameter of the pipe, then select the centreline radius of the bend. Only compatible CLR values should be displayed for the selected Pipe OD.

If your dimensions are not available in the standard list, select Custom Pipe OD or Custom CLR and enter the exact measurement in millimetres. The custom fields will appear automatically after selecting a custom option.

How to Measure Bend Centreline Radius

Place the 90-degree bend upright on a flat surface and measure the total height from the surface to the highest outside point of the bend. Subtract half of the pipe outside diameter from this measurement.

CLR = Total Height − Pipe OD ÷ 2

Measure carefully before ordering. A template manufactured for a different pipe diameter or centreline radius will not produce the correct cutting line.

How to Use the Template

The template can be used as a guide with a suitable bandsaw or as a marking guide before removing it and cutting with an angle grinder. Check the position and alignment of the template before marking or cutting the pipe bend.

Do not expose the PETG template directly to a cutting disc, open flame or hot metal.

What Is Included

The order includes one physical Y-pipe cutting template manufactured for the selected Pipe OD and CLR configuration. Pipe bends, cutting tools, the completed Y-pipe and digital files are not included.

Small visual differences may occur because the product is manufactured using 3D printing.
