Build Custom Exhaust Bends from Straight Tube

This complete seven-piece Lobster Cut Pipe Template Set is designed for fabricators who need to create custom exhaust bends from straight round tubing. The templates provide clear and repeatable marking lines for preparing individual pie-cut sectors before fitting and welding them into the required bend shape.

This system is particularly useful when a ready-made exhaust elbow does not fit the available space or when a bandsaw is not available. Instead of estimating each cut by eye, you can select the required template, mark the complete cutting line around the tube, remove the template and cut the sector manually with an angle grinder.

Seven Template Angles Included

Every set contains seven separate physical templates:

• 7.5°
• 10°
• 11.25°
• 15°
• 18°
• 22.5°
• 45°

The angle marked on each template corresponds to the finished angle of the prepared pipe sector. Using different sector angles makes it possible to control the final direction, shape and radius of the fabricated bend.

Designed for Manual Marking and Angle-Grinder Cutting

1. Select the template with the required sector angle.
2. Place the template onto the straight tube.
3. Align the template and mark the cutting line around the tube.
4. Remove the PETG template before cutting.
5. Cut the marked section manually with an angle grinder.
6. Repeat the process to produce the required number of sectors.
7. Rotate, fit and weld the prepared sectors to create the required bend.

This product is a marking tool, not a direct cutting fixture. It is not designed to hold the tube during cutting and is not intended for direct contact with a cutting disc.

Select the Correct Pipe Size

Each template set is manufactured for one specific Pipe Outside Diameter (OD). Select the actual outside diameter of the tube, not its approximate nominal size.

A template manufactured for a different outside diameter may not fit the tube correctly and may produce an inaccurate marking line.

If your Pipe OD is not included in the available list, contact Coup Custom before ordering. Custom sizes can be manufactured after the exact outside diameter has been confirmed.

Material and Workshop Use

The templates are 3D printed from PETG and intended for repeated workshop marking. Keep them away from open flame, hot metal and direct contact with the angle-grinder disc.

Small visual differences may occur because the templates are manufactured using 3D printing. These differences do not affect their intended marking function.
